On Saturday 21 March, Oxfordshire celebrates the very first Indie Oxford Day. A moment to champion the independent businesses that shape this city and give it its character.
At The Folly, independence is not a label. It’s how we’ve always operated.
To mark the occasion, we’re hosting a special one-night Chef’s Table in our River Room.
An Evening Hosted by Dan Richardson
Our Executive Head Chef, Daniel Richardson, will guide guests through a six course tasting menu in an intimate riverside setting.
Dan has led our kitchen since 2019. If you’ve dined with us in recent years, you’ve experienced his cooking. This evening offers something more personal. A chance to hear directly from him about the thinking behind each dish, the ingredients chosen, and the small details that bring everything together.
It will feel relaxed. Conversational. Thoughtful.

The menu will follow our current tasting format, shaped by the season and designed to unfold naturally across the evening.

Six wines, selected specifically to complement Dan’s dishes.
